Plain English: these are the rules for using FitChecks. Don't upload anything illegal or harmful. The score is for fun and styling guidance — not professional advice. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service. By using the app, you're agreeing to all of this.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Owlstorm.ai ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the FitChecks mobile application and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use FitChecks. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
You retain ownership of the photos and any content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant Owlstorm.ai a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and securing the Service — including, where you opt to use such features, displaying your scored fits to other users in features like FitOff.
We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train third-party models. Our AI provider does not use your photos to train its models under our current API terms.
You can delete Your Content and your account at any time from within the app, or by contacting support@owlstorm.ai. See our Privacy Policy for retention and deletion details.
FitChecks generates style scores, verdicts, and tips using a custom-trained AI Style Engine. Scores are opinions and entertainment-grade guidance, not professional fashion advice, medical advice, body-image advice, or any other form of expert counsel. Your style decisions remain your own. We make no guarantee that a score, recommendation, or styling tip is accurate, appropriate, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Certain features may require a paid subscription (for example, the personal Style Engine in Premium). When subscriptions are offered:
The Service — including the FitChecks brand, the AI Style Engine, the app's design, copy, source code, models, datasets, and visual elements — is owned by Owlstorm.ai and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. No rights are granted to you beyond what is expressly stated in these Terms.
The Service relies on third-party providers (currently Supabase, Anthropic, and Sentry — see the Privacy Policy for details). We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of those third parties, and your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY SCORE, VERDICT, OR RECOMMENDATION IS ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY USE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OWLSTORM.AI AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Owlstorm.ai from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or that continued access poses risk to other users, the Service, or us. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including, without limitation, ownership provisions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification).
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the app. Your continued use of the Service after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local jurisdiction.
